Missive regarding AI, PvP, PvE, and General Gameplay

About AI

Alchemy Incorporated is a small guild.  And we plan on remaining a small guild.  Some of our members know each other in real life (RL).  We have couples, friends, cousins, parents and their children.  Most of us do not know each other in RL.  We have old guildies, pick-ups, and people that have been recruited through ads.

Membership in AI is not just about a body count.  You can't be faceless here - there are too few of us.  We want you to play; we want you to participate.  (If you are shy we will gradually, sneakily, insinuate ourselves into your gameplay and force you to socialize ...)

We have several experienced members who can get everywhere, or almost everywhere, in all 3 campaigns.  Most of them are more than happy to help a Guildie get places.  Generally speaking, we're good company too.

The [AI] GH is located on Wizard's Isle and we've got a lot of NPC's standing around in the GH ready to serve your Kurzick-loving needs.  Oh, and we have a frog in our GH too.

Creativity and initative are welcome and encouraged in [AI].  If a member has an idea for an activity, a build, whatever - they are more than welcome to propose their idea to an Officer or the Guild Leader.

Members are not required to deposit faction.

We GvG, do Challenge Missions, PvE, AB, TA, RA, and look for those elusive greens.  Some of us Title-Hunt as well.

Our cape is cool looking.  The Guild Leader designed it.  The Guild Leader likes the cape.  A lot.  If you have any problems with the design of the cape you are encouraged to keep them to yourself.  Our cape is cool looking.  Really nice.  EVERYONE likes it.  Understand?

About PvP

We are looking for mature individuals to join our GvG team but we are well aware that age isn't always an indication of maturity.

We use TS for GvG. So ... Members are expected to have a working mic.  And members wanting to GvG are expected to have all 3 campaigns so they can unlock any skill we might need for our current build.

We are serious about the GvG requirements.  If your mic doesn't work we won't let you play - no exceptions.

That said, we don't have a lot of experience in GvG.  We lose some matches.  We are not a Top-Ranked GvG team - we're not even a ranked team.  We do try our best though and we enjoy winning.  People who are extremely competitive or who have a great deal of GvG experience need to be aware that we are not interested in winning at any cost.  So ...

Members are expected to respect their Guildies and our opponents when GvG'ing. Which means: No Flaming, No Griefing, No Rage Quits, or otherwise being a butt on the battlefield, the arenas, or in chat.

About PvE

We are helpful but don't just hand stuff out. We aren't giving out any end game weapons, for example.

We do farm - but on our own - without bots.

We also PvE as a Guild and are currently meeting approximately once a week to visit elite/remote areas with a balanced team.  Recent trips have been to FoW but we are hoping to expand our Magical Mayhem Tour.

Members are involved in Vanquishing (Hard Mode) in Tyria, Elonia, and Cantha as well as dungeon-crawling through Eye of the North.

Several individuals in [AI] keep up-to-date with buffs and nerfs as well as other GW news that can affect daily gameplay.

 General Gameplay

This is a game.  It is only a game.  It is supposed to be FUN.  Killing things is fun.

It is also a way to socialize.  And that's okay, too.  Say "Hi" when you log on, say "Bye" when you leave.

These are your Guildies - be nice to them and they will be nice to you.
